We are a group of people who rescue Keeshonden or Keeshond mixes from shelters that euthanize, from individuals surrendering their dogs, from abandonment, or from neglectful situations. Our goal is to quickly get their health and temperament evaluated, get all needed medical care and/or training completed for a well suited, long-lived placement. All members of our group have fostered and adopted Keeshonden or Kees mixes and treasure the companionship and vitality of the breed... we want to see each of our rescues find their "forever", loving home.

Additional adoption info
Mid-South Keeshond Rescue (MSKR) requires an initial request of interest for either a specific, listed dog and a completed application for review. The application is a contract and specifies required care parameters by the adoptors. A contribution to our or affiliated rescue programs for Keeshonds is expected... the usual fee requested is $150 but may vary. A complete animal care background check will be performed as well as a homecheck at the home where the adoptee will be domiciled.
