Founded in 1999, Much Love Animal Rescue is a non-profit, 100% no-kill, rescue group. MLAR is run entirely by volunteers who give countless hours to help fight the plight of homeless animals. Focused on rescuing dogs and cats in danger of euthanization at the city and county shelters of Los Angeles, Much Love takes in all breeds, shapes and sizes of all ages, providing medical care, training and rehabilitation until safe and loving homes are found through our adoption process.

Rescue FAQs

Located in Los Angeles, Much Love adopts rescued and rehabilitated animals to new families within the surrounding areas of Los Angeles. We do not adopt out of state due to our policy of performing home checks.

Additional adoption info

Each adoption requires an approved two-page application, an approved home check and a binding contract. Fees are $350 for dogs, $400 for puppies, $75 for cats, and $125 for kittens. Remember we are 100% non-profit so these donations go entirely to the animals!
