All Gods Creatures Rescue

Dog rescue in Brownsville, KY

"And God made all of the animals... and God saw that it was good."
(Genesis 1:25)

All Gods Creatures Rescue (AGCR) is an all breed animal rescue in Southern KY, dedicated to finding homes for animals at risk for euthanasiation in shelters or humane societies. We believe that it is our God-given responsibility to be caretakers of all God's creatures (Genesis 1:28) and that he cares for even the smallest of His creation (Mat 10:29, Luke 12:24). Due to limited resources, we are generally restricted to rescuing and placing dogs, but try to help other animals in need when possible. Funding for this project comes exclusively from adoption fees and donations. AGCR takes in as many dogs as our funding and facilities will allow, and we work very hard to help these animals meet their maximum potential, and find their "forever homes." We desire that each these animals find their life-long friends through us, and that they are given the love and attention they need for the rest of their lives.

Additional adoption info

Due to the limited funding and facilities we have here, most of the animals we bring in are dogs from local shelters, or dogs who's owners are no longer able to care for them. Every dog that comes to us is extensively temperament tested, and we do our best to get a full history of every dog we bring into our program. These dogs are the animals who have been passed up by would-be adopters for whatever reason, most of the time because the shelters were located in places where dogs out number people.
We sincerely wish that we could take in ALL animals that are headed toward euthanasation, but we are not able to and so we are very meticulous about the dogs we bring in. We have four children ourselves, so we take great measures to ensure that the dogs we have available are non-aggressive and have great personalities.
Our dogs are extensively screened before they are brought into our program, and because they have lived with us before being adopted, you have the benefit of taking home a dog who is already housebroken and temperament tested. You will also have the benefit of getting a dog that is the PERFECT match for you and your family, due to the time we’ve spent living with them and finding out just who they are.

Before you adopt, an application must be filled out and we require both personal and vet references. (If this will be your first time owning a pet it is understood that you do not have a vet reference, and that will be taken into consideration.) It is also MANDATORY that our animals are signed up with a veterinarian of your choice within two weeks of adoption, and seen each year by a licensed veterinarian for routine shots, as well as kept up to date on heartworm medication and flea/tick medication. We want to be sure that any dog adopted from us goes to a good home where he or she is well cared for.
We require an adoption fee on each of our dogs which varies depending on the dog. This goes to help rescue and care for other animals. Our main goal, however, is to find these dogs GOOD HOMES, so if you cannot afford the adoption fee, contact us anyway and we will try to work something out together. Before you do this, though, we encourage you to contact your veterinarian and ask him or her what the cost would be for all of your dogs yearly vaccinations, heartworm medications, flea/tick medications, and checkups. It may be that your finances would not accommodate a new pet right now, and it will be in everyone's best interest for you to do a little research before bringing a new pet home.
Each of our dogs recieve extensive veterinary treatment before going home, and any dog adopted through us will recieve the following:

Heartworm Test
Spay/Neuter
Rabies vaccination, Certificate and Tag
Bordetella vaccination
DHLPP vaccination
1st dose of heartworm preventative
1st dose of Frontline flea/tick medication
Complete deworming
One free obedience lesson with a professional trainer
2 months of Shelter Care Pet Insurance prepaid

All adoption fees are used to help save other dogs from shelters or inattentive homes. By adopting a dog from us you are helping to save the lives of others.
If you are interested in one of our animals, please email us and we will send you an adoption application and answer any questions you may have about the pet you are interested in.
