Rawhide Rescue was formed to serve the needs of homeless dogs by providing loving and expedient rescue, foster homes and placement with a great measure of compassion and through teamwork with you and other rescue groups and shelters.
Rawhide Rescue is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization. We'll be happy to provide you with a tax-receipt upon request so that you can deduct your donation to us.
Any financial support to help us care for our animals is very much appreciated and we also need dog food, crates of all sizes, beds and blankets for the pets in our care.
We do not have a shelter so we don't have visiting hours.

This rescue doesn’t have any adoptable pets right now – check out adoptable pets nearby or start a custom pet search below.
We hold our adoption days in Central New Jersey and welcome applicants from the entire state. Out of state residents may apply as well, however, we do not "ship" dogs.
Additional adoption info
To adopt one of our animals, go to our website at www.rawhiderescue.org and download our Microsoft Word dog application, or use our "online application." We regret that we cannot respond to inquiries about a specific pet until we receive a completed application.
Adoption Fees:
Adoption fees are donations to Rawhide Rescue, not payment for value received, and are based primarily on the age, health, and temperament of a particular dog, and our expenses. Rawhide Rescue is not a shelter, and we are not subsidized. Most shelters receive municipal funding, while Rawhide Rescue operates on adoption fees and donations. All of our members are volunteers, and none of us receives a salary or payment of any kind. Our funds go 100% toward the care of our dogs, primarily for veterinary expenses and occasional boarding fees. Volunteers usually pay the costs for transport, fostering, phone calls, postage, and adoption screening out of their own pockets.
The adoption fees range from $150 to $200 for dogs ($275 - $400 for puppies and purebreds) which is a bargain when you consider that spaying/neutering, testing, training and inoculations are usually included. Any difference in fee is noted in the description of the individual pet. Many animals have been micro-chipped.
