Paws and Purrs Humane Society is a no-kill, not-for-profit organization dedicated to finding good homes for homeless cats and kittens. We are a small, all volunteer group providing veterinary care, socialization, and lots of TLC to our animals until they are matched with their forever guardians. Paws and Purrs charges must be sterilized to avoid increasing the overpopulation of unwanted animals. All of our cats and kittens live in foster homes and are not caged in a shelter. Those we've helped include days old kittens, strays found outside near death, and, of course, all ages of animals who were abandoned or surrendered by their owners.
Paws and Purrs sends each cat and kitten home with a information booklet covering topics of general interest to adopters. Further, we have an excellent after care program designed to insure that animals adopted from us are living happily ever after in their forever homes. We're a continuing resource for our adopters and are always available to consult on any issues the adopters would like to discuss.

Additional adoption info
Paws and Purrs is committed to finding permanent loving homes for our cats and kittens. We do our utmost to match adopters with the cat(s) or kitten(s) that will be purrfect new members of their family. Because all of our felines live in foster care and are not caged in shelters, we know their personalities and the home environment in which they are most likely to thrive.
Your adoption donation helps pay for food, spaying or neutering, necessary vaccinations, medical test and treatments, and microchipping. It is your responsibility, after the adoption, to give a loving home to the animal for the rest of it’s life.
You must be at least 21 year of age
Current identification will be required and must show your correct address and telephone number.
You must show proof that you are able to keep a pet on the premises, if you are currently renting or reside in a condo.
Your family must be willing to allow an authorized representative of Paws and Purrs to make an adoption follow-up, either in person or by telephone.
If the animal is not already altered, spaying or neutering of pets adopted through Paws and Purrs is required.
A legally binding and enforced contract must be signed when adopting a pet from Paws and Purrs.
If, at any time, you are unable to keep the pet or unable to provide it with proper care, it must be offered back to Paws and Purrs before making other arrangements.
We adopt only to homes where the cats will not be declawed and will be kept exclusively indoors. All animals are tested for FIV and FeLV, microchipped, inoculated and sterilized, age permitting.
Current adoption fees are $125.00 for kittens under 1 yr of age, and $100.00 for cats one year and older.
