RescueCats, Inc.

Animal rescue in Fayetteville, GA

RescueCats is here for this reason. We are a non-profit, no-kill organization providing temporary care for orphaned and owner released kittens and house cats. A safe indoor shelter, veterinary care, food/water & lots of love is given to each animal until a suitable home with a loving family can be found. Spaying and neutering & educating the public about the proper treatment of animals is our main focus. We are a limited-access facility; when one kitten or cat is adopted, another is taken in. Kittens and cats are not put to sleep unless they are too ill or injured to recover. Adoption fees, relinquishment fees and private donations are our only source of revenue to support the cats.

Additional adoption info

The adoption fee helps to pay for the spay or neuter, vaccinations, microchip, FeLV/FIV testing, flea treatment, other medical costs, vitamins, food (we use premium foods like Science Diet ), cat litter, utilities, and much more.
Adoption fees range from $125-$250.
If you make a call to your local vet, it should convince you that our fee represents a fraction of what you would pay for the services and products on your own.

Adopters are required to fill out an adoption form and agree to the terms of adoption, which includes keeping the kitten or cat as an inside pet only, unless you adopt a "barn cat", agreeing to return the cat to RescueCats if you can no longer care for it, obeying the county ordinances concerning animals (rabies shot, tags, etc.), providing proper veterinary care, arranging for proper care while on vacation & if necessary, permitting a representative from RescueCats to come to your home to check on the animal's well-being. We will be happy to email you an pre-adoption application or you can complete one online. Applications must be filled out before we allow foster home visits.
