Additional adoption info
Some animals currently being held at the facility are not available at this time, there is a five day wait in case an owner comes forth to claim said animal.
There is an application process for all adoptions.
If you rent an apartment, you must have a letter, lease, or provide us a phone number of your landlord confirming that you have permission to adopt, and if there are restrictions as to size, or breed, that must also be included in said letter.
All animals must be spayed/neutered after leaving our shelter, it is state law and we do follow up.
Proof must be presented to Animal Control within thirty (30) days of the adoption date. {unless it is kittens, or puppies, where you will be provided a future date on contract, to complete the procedure of neuter, or spay}
When proof is provided, we keep it on record.
For cats and kittens, a $25.00 fee is required at the time of adoption.
It is required prior to adoption a pre-pay spay/neuter deposit must be obtained through a vet of your choice or a pre-pay spay/neuter deposit at a lower cost through East Bay Animal Hospital.
