The Humane Society of Madison County is contracted with the Madison County Dog Warden to take in strays from Madison County. We take care of all stray dogs and owner turn in pets. We also take in cats and kittens. We have a program with the local prison in a foster care/training program. The inmates foster some of our dogs and teach them basic commands and work on housebreaking.
