Additional adoption info
We encourage anyone who is interested in adoption to schedule an appointment to see the dogs at the shelter. All potential adopters are subject to a background check by the PFPD. The adoption fee is $40.00, which includes the DAPPV vaccine and spay or neuter procedure as needed. If the dog is unaltered, we hold the dog until they have been spayed or neutered before releasing to take home. New owners are required to obtain and show proof of a rabies vaccine and city or county dog license within 30 days of the adoption.
