Additional adoption info
SCLRR is a foster based, all volunteer rescue. Adoption applications and home visits are required for approval to adopt.
Careful time, temperment testing and fostering with further evaluating to help adopters find the right match for their lifestyle and for the dog's needs is the hallmark of SCLRR. We consider the needs of both adopting family and of our rescue dogs.
The fostered Labradors can be visited for possible adoption at the individual dog's foster home by approved adopters.
Thorough information is provided along with a folder of such things as up to date vaccine records, spay/neuter certification, microchip registration information, pedigree and kennel registration if provided along with any other paperwork we might have. A terms of Adoption is filled out and signed, providing ownership to the adopter.
The adoption fee is $350 or $150 for a senior Lab (7 years and older). Any known medical needs a dog might have are taken care of by SCLRR prior to adoption.
SCLRR prides itself on our high standards of temperment testing, medical care given and our fair treatment of adopting families.
