The Acadiana Humane Society is a small foster home organization. Our goal is to safe as many lives of dogs, cats & small animals as we can and also to educate and inform the public about animal rescue. We totally rely on the generosity of our community to help us with our work. We're only funded by donations and adoption fees for the saved animals.

Our regular cat adoption fee is $100.00. Our senior cats (7 years & up) are $60.00. Our regular dog adoption fee is $150.00. Purebred cats are $150.00. Purebred dogs are $200.00. Guinea Pigs are $20,00. Spayed Rabbits are $50.00. Spayed/descented Ferrets are $75.00. Chinchillas are $75.00. This includes all tests, vaccinations, deworming, and spay/neuter of the cat, dog, ferret or rabbit. Our requirements for dogs are: fenced in backyard, no chain or yard dogs. Our requirements for cats are: inside only and NO declawing or tendenectomy. Rabbits are recommended for inside homes, as are all the exotic pets & birds.
