The mission of the Humane Society of Central Oregon is to care for abandoned, stray, neglected, surrendered and abused animals. We work towards the placement of all adoptable animals. Through humane education and community outreach, we endeavor to inspire a community to responsibly care for all animals.

Additional adoption info
The first step is completing an adoption questionnaire. The questionnaire can be downloaded from our website, or you may fill it out at the shelter. Once the questionnaire is completed, you will work with one of our Animals Care staff members who will assist you in making that right choice for a loving pet. Once your application is approved, you can adopt or place a 24 hour hold on an animal. Once you are ready to adopt, the process takes about 20-30 minutes. Don’t forget that every animal must be spayed or neutered prior to going home.
