Basset Hound Rescue of Georgia is a non-profit, volunteer effort to save abandoned and mistreated Basset Hounds. Our rescue effort began in 1991, and we have rescued over 2,500 Bassets since that time. Originally privately funded by two volunteers, today BHRG is a non-profit charitable organization which exists solely on donations.
Orphaned Bassets are held in foster care until permanent, loving homes can be found.
Adoptions are held each weekend of the month at locations in metro-Atlanta. See our website at www.bhrg.org for specific dates and locations.
A $250 adoption donation is required for dogs under 8 years of age. A $100 donation is required of dogs 8 years old and older. This donation defrays the cost of shots, spay/neuter, heartworm treatments, and other vet costs.
