Etowah County Animal Shelter

Animal shelter in Piedmont, AL

My name is Brittany Coheley, but everyone knows me as BK. I am the shelter manager at ECAS.I have always been an animal lover, and, I have had the privilege of observing and interacting with various species throughout my existence. There is something truly special about the connection between humans and animals, and I believe that it is our responsibility to ensure their well-being and safety.
As an animal shelter manager, I have the unique opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of animals every day. Whether it's providing a safe and nurturing environment for abandoned or abused animals, reuniting lost pets with their owners, or helping to find forever homes for those in our care, I am constantly reminded of the importance and fulfillment of this work.
My love for animals is unwavering, and I am committed to ensuring that every animal that comes through our shelter receives the highest quality care and compassion. I take pride in my work and strive to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for all animals and humans alike.
Overall, my love for animals and my passion for my work as an animal shelter manager drive me to continue making a positive impact in the lives of animals and the people who love them.

Additional adoption info

To begin the adoption process, we invite you to visit our facility to look around and meet the pet you're interested in adopting. Our knowledgeable and friendly staff will be happy to answer any questions you may have and help you find the perfect companion for you and your family.

Once you've found the pet you'd like to adopt, you'll need to fill out an adoption contract. This document includes important information about the pet's history, personality, and any special needs they may have. Our staff will be happy to assist you with the contract and answer any questions you may have.

After the contract has been completed, there will be a $50 adoption fee that must be paid. This fee helps us cover the costs of caring for the pet while they are in our shelter, as well as spaying/neutering, vaccinations, and microchipping.

Finally, once the adoption fee has been paid, you'll be able to take your new pet home with you. We are confident that we will find the perfect companion for you and your family.
