North American Shar Pei Rescue

Dog rescue in Houston, TX

North American Shar Pei Rescue was established to assist and augment the rescue efforts of the Chinese Shar Pei Club of America Inc., as well as our Canadian neighbors to the North. NASPR is a non-profit 501C Corporation. We are an all volunteer organization and depend on your support to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome the hundreds of Shar-Pei in need each year. If you can not adopt at this time, please consider becoming a volunteer, foster or become a guardian angel (financial sponsor) for one of our many dogs in need.

Additional adoption info

Please complete the ONLINE ADOPTION APPLICATION form located at www.sharpeirescue.com. Your application will be forwarded to the nearest volunteer. We do some basic checks and will then contact you to set up a time for one of our representatives to come to your home and visit. This gives us a better idea of the type of Shar-Pei that would work best with your family and of course be sure that it would be a safe environment. At that time, or shortly thereafter, we could discuss the dogs that we think might work best for you. We have had tremendous success in making happy placements. We ask a minimum adoption fee/donation of $250 to help defer the costs of medical and miscellaneous expenses incurred but it can vary depending on the dogs individual needs/expenses. All dogs are placed spayed/neutered and current on all vaccinations.
