We are a nonprofit group called Friends of Lee County Animal Control. We rescue dogs and cats from Lee County animal control, and place the dogs in rescues (or occasional local adoptions), and we place cats up for adoption locally or send them to adoption centers. Dogs and cats in county animal control are housed at one of two clinics in Opelika, Alabama. Since there is no shelter facility for these pets, there is great difficulty in finding them homes. This is where we step in and help.
