The VBAS, a 501(c)(3) animal service agency, is devoted to providing medical, social, behavioral and financial care for animals at risk and determined to eliminate animal homelessness in the Burbank community.
As the VBAS is a 100% volunteer-run organization, almost all communication is done via email. We appreciate you emailing us whenever possible as it allows us to respond more quickly to your inquiry.

PLEASE NOTE: You must be 18 or over to adopt an animal from the shelter.
License Fees for Burbank Residents
Unaltered Dogs: $100
Altered Dogs: $20
A rabies certificate is required for all dogs.
Cats (Unaltered and Altered): $5
Horses: $15
Wild Animal Permit: $15
PLEASE NOTE: Licenses are required for all animals and must be renewed annually. There is a 100% penalty for late renewal.
