The Lamar County Humane Association is a 501(c)3 organization whose mission is to prevent cruelty to animals, to relieve suffering of animals, and to educate the public in the humane care and treatment of animals. In carrying out this mission, LCHA members work closely with the City of Paris to find homes for cats and dogs in the city’s animal shelter. Currently, 4,000+ animals pass through the shelter each year; approximately 500 animals are adopted.
