ABOUT
BLACK DOG RESCUE SOCIETY BC

Black Dog Rescue Society BC is a non-profit rescue group of volunteers located in Canada and Texas.and Mexico We are passionate about saving dogs and puppies from high-kill rate shelters in Texas., street dogs in Mexico

Thanks to our amazing volunteers, we were able to save over 2000 dogs and puppies from being euthanized last year.

Over the last year, we have experienced the amazing love, support and compassion that Canadians and our wonderful Texas & B.C. volunteers have for dogs, puppies and animals in general.

Our passion is to save dogs and place them in loving homes.

We go the extra mile to ensure that all dogs and puppies are healthy before being adopted. All dogs and puppies are vet checked before being transported. They are also fully vaccinated, microchipped plus spayed / neutered. If puppies not old enough a vet appointment is booked at our rescue vet.
vaccines are done for age and dewormed .
Please contact us for more information about how to adopt a dog or puppy or on how to become a volunteer in B.C. or Texas.

Agreement to provide quality care between adopter indicated above and Black Dog Rescue Society BC.

You Have 76 hours to take your dog to a vet for check up at your cost. If health problems are found, please let us know right away and we’ll decide on next course of action. Most veterinarians offer 6 week vet insurance and BDRS advises pet insurance to everyone. The dog is a rescue and may have future health issues which are unknown to BDRSand these costs are not covered by the rescue. If proof of vetting is not conducted with in 76 hours, BDRS does not accept responsibility for an unknown health issue nor do we pay for any unknown health issues after 76 hours All paper work and vetting done on the dog is given to the adoptive family upon adoption. Microchip records must be updated with in 14 days. Spay and neuter must be done before six month period.

If at any point you need help with the dog, please contact us. BDRS does not refund money . If required BDRS will take back the dog and assist you with another adoption from BDRS. BDRS asks that you foster until the dog can be placed in another home. Once the dog is adopted by another home, BDRS retains $200 for rehoming fees. The remaining balance will be reimbursed unless the dog has been neglected, harmed or become sick in your care. In those cases, funds will go towards the vet bills. Remaining balance will be refunded to you. Any boarding costs training vet fees etc will be deducted

The dogs in our care are often strays, surrendered and abandoned. BDRS may know nothing of the pet’s history. BDRS dogs are cared for in an open door environment so BDRS does not guarantee that the pet is housebroken. BDRS is not aware of all possible behaviour issues that have been obvious or displayed while the pet has been in foster care. Patience and training may be required on your part.

Should you have existing pets, you are responsible for ensuring your pets are current on all vaccinations. You are responsible for the proper introduction and protection between pets.

If, in BDRS estimation, it is not in a dog’s best interest to remain in a home, BDRS reserves the right to remove the dog with a full refund.
