Story
Abby (girl) and Benji (boy), born 7/1/2024. Just look at these two beautiful sibling fosters. They were found together and have journeyed so far together. Abby is intelligent and studious - reading the room before jumping in to play. Benji is pudding in your arms. They both love to run and play together (also with other kitty cats). Benji is all rambunctious goofiness, but a sweet purring cuddle bug when time to settle. He loves to be propped on your shoulder. Abby is more independent, less into displays of affection. But at bedtime she waits patiently for you so she can do her purr dance before snoozing alongside. They love vertical space, cat toys, ping pong balls, paper bags, boxes - all the silly kitty things. They also enjoy lounging and striking their sphynx poses. Somewhat shy and cautious with abrupt sounds or new people, a patient but playful guardian will help them shine. Benji & Abby could adopt out separately, but we think two is better than one - don't you agree?

Story
Abby (born July 2024) is an intelligent beauty who thoughtfully reads the room before jumping into play. She loves vertical space, and cat trees or wall mounts are recommended for her climbing nature. She is a soccer star and dribbles and chases ping pong balls with style. Abby (rescued along with her brother Benji) is a shy foster and an independent soul. She is always near but doesn't like over-handling. The way to her heart is with play. She will run to partake, but not if other kitties are too rough. She could do well as a solo kitty. She particularly loves bedtime to socialize – jumping up on your bed to purr, head butt and cuddle – happily settling nearby to snooze alongside you. Abby has a soft ticked tabby coat and big, beautiful gold green eyes. (maybe Abyssinian mix?) At mealtime, Abby is not shy and chirps or squeals for attention. In a loving, peaceful home, her confidence will shine with time, and she will delight with her energy and sweet presence.

Story
Abby (born June 2024) is a sweet, intelligent gal who thoughtfully reads the room before jumping into play. With time, her shyness melts and she becomes a dynamic ball of chirping playfulness. Abby is intrigued to watch and learn from her human or kitty pal. Abby will keep you company as you work or study. She particularly loves bedtime – jumping up on your bed to do her purr dance and settle into the comfy crook of your arm. Abby has a beautiful ticked tabby coat and big beautiful gold green eyes. (We think she is an Abyssinian mix.) She loves vertical space, and cat trees or wall mounts are recommended. She is a soccer star and rolls ping pong balls throughout the room with style. Abby has good manners for a young cat. In a loving home, Abby’s confidence will shine, and she will delight with her energy and sweet presence. She has a lot of love to give. Story
Rocco is bonded with his sister Raven, KRLA-A-5825, so they must be adopted together. These lucky kitties were born in a foster home after their very pregnant Mama was rescued. Rocco and Raven are an incredible combination of all the things we love so much about kitties. They love to play wrestle and chase with each other but they also really love their humans. They are super sweet, affectionate kitties, it would be hard to find a better pair of fur babies!! Rocco is a classic brown Tabby with the sweetest, chill personality. Raven is a solid black mini panther with a sleek black coat. Both kitties love to snuggle in next to you for a lazy day cat nap, especially after a good playtime session. Rocco and Raven would do well in almost any home and be great in a home with gentle, loving children. They will brighten any home with lots of love and their silly kitty antics. Story
**Meet Stevie and Mr. Clarence: Best Friends Seeking a Forever Home Together!** **Stevie** and **Mr. Clarence** have formed an incredible bond, and now they're looking for a special home where they can stay together forever. **Mr. Clarence**, born 2021, a handsome 3-year-old Abyssinian mix, had a rough start in life. He was extremely shy and hissy when he first came to our rescue and preferred the safety of his cage. After a brief adoption that didn't work out, Mr. Clarence returned to us, still unsure and timid. But everything changed when he met Stevie. With Stevie by his side, Mr. Clarence found the courage to come out of his shell. Now, these two are inseparable, often found sleeping next to each other, providing comfort and companionship to one another. **Stevie** born 2017, is a sweet and mellow 7-year-old brown tabby who has spent his entire life waiting for someone to see just how special he is. He had an eye issue long ago, but it's fine now, and despite being FIV+ (which doesn't require any medication), Stevie is a healthy, affectionate boy who loves to be petted and adores his treats. His gentle nature makes him the perfect companion for someone looking for a loving, laid-back friend. We are looking for an experienced adopter, or someone with a lot of patience and love to offer. These two boys deserve a home where they can feel safe and cherished. They need someone who understands that love and attention will help them continue to blossom and thrive. In return, Stevie and Mr. Clarence will shower you with double the affection and gratitude. Adopting this pair will not only give them the chance at a real, forever home but also fill your life with the joy and warmth only two best friends can bring. Are you ready to make a big difference in the lives of Stevie and Mr. Clarence? They can't wait to meet you and start their new adventure together!

Adopting a Somali costs around $75 to $150. Conversely, buying a Somali from a breeder can be prohibitively expensive, usually around $400 to $600.

The easiest way to adopt a Somali is through a rescue that specializes in Somalis. A great place to start is by starting a breed search on Adopt a Pet. The search will show you all the available Somalis in your area.

Somali fun facts

Fun Facts:

The Somali's bushy tail and its mischievous personality has given way to its nickname "Fox Cat."

World War II decimated the Somali population and it had to be rebuilt using several other breeds. All Canadian and American Somalis can be traced back to one male Abyssinian that helped re-establish the Somali breed.

The Somali is so-named because Somalia borders Abyssinia (now Ethiopia), a nod to the fact that geopolitican borders and the genetic distinction between these two breeds are a uniquely human creation.
