Story
Ruby Tuesday and Princess Gracie are a pair of 15 year old sisters, whose owners unfortunately are now in a nursing home. These girls were loved and spoiled -- climbing walls, handcrafted furniture and climbing posts just for them -- they are feeling a little lost and lonely right now, and need someone with lots of time to dedicate to them. They MUST be adopted together. These girls are very active and chatty, and potential adopted must have breed experience, as Bengals are like no other cat... They do have papers and are TICA registered. They are gorgeous, unique girls who like people and attention but are not lap cats. They each have a $100 adoption fee. All cats adopted through our rescue are age appropriately vaccinated including rabies & FVRCP/Feline Leukemia vaccines, dewormed & free of fleas, combo tested (negative unless otherwise noted), microchipped and spayed/neutered before adoptions are finalized. If you would like to adopt, please fill out the application through the link or the website at -www.whiskersofohio.org - please note that the "I'm interested" tab on Petfinder does NOT act as an application, this should only be used for specific questions before committing to an adoption. You will receive an email confirmation when your application goes through. Please only apply if you are committed to adopting! Our workers are all volunteers and it takes time to process applications. We are a registered, volunteer run 501c3 non-profit organization. Free transport is regularly available to Wayne/Holmes County areas! We do have the ability to fly a cat or pair of kittens via Southwest's SWATT program to any location served by Southwest Airlines. It isn't free but has been a great way to transport animals in a timely manner.

Gracie had a dental in 2024, and Ruby not long before that; both have had bloodwork in March 2025. Both have big rumbling purrs and a loud meow that is unlike any housecat you can imagine! Adopting a Ocicat

Frequently asked questions about acquiring an Ocicat - the pros and cons of adopting versus going through a breeder, and associated costs.

It costs between $50 and $200 on average to adopt an Ocicat from an animal shelter or rescue group. The adoption fees cover the costs of caring for the cat prior to adoption.
