Story
Bao and Tang are ready for their forever home and have a discounted adoption fee when adopted together! They've come so far from the scared, emaciated, filthy and sick overbred pocket bullies that were dumped on the streets together. They are sweet, goofy, playful and do great together including sharing beds and toys with each other. We are offering $100 off total adoption fees for these guys. They would thrive together having a buddy they know and trust. No kitties or pocket pets as both can be prey driven. Email us at aldr@animalluvrs.org for more info! Apply to adopt at https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/LUVR/Dog All of our adoptable rescues have a clean bill of health (unless otherwise stated), are spayed/neutered, vaccinated (age-appropriately), tested (FeLV/FIV for cats, HW for dogs over 6 months of age), current on flea and heartworm prevention and microchipped. This is all included in their adoption fee that goes in as a donation to help us cover their medical costs and continue to help other animals in need. Any questions, concerns and suggestions, please feel free to contact us at ALDR@animalluvrs.org.

Story
ADOPT ME! We are sad to announce that Chase from the Paw Patrol litter is back with ALDR, because his family did not think he was a good fit any longer. Handsome fella is now a year and a half old, about 80Ibs, incredibly sweet, but nervous around new friends and takes time to warm up. We are working on helping him build his confidence and helping him feel safe and loved! Chase is well behaved, crate trained, house trained and walks well on a leash! He can sometimes be dog selective, so he would do best in a home without another dog or with a patient adopter who is willing to do a slow and proper introduction to be sure he will get along with any other furry friends. He doesn't seem to react to squirrels or cats while out and about in the neighborhood, but he has barked at his foster guinea pig brother, because he was a little scared of him. Chase is currently in a home with children and doing well, but may not do well with all children since his fear reactions can sometimes be intimidating. His ideal home would be with a family that is willing to give him time to adjust and reassure him he is safe and loved. He has also started professional training to help him manage his reactions when scared and we are recommending he continues to make sure he is set up for success. Apply to adopt Chase: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/LUVR-A-266?nid=202296827&_csrfToken= All of our adoptable rescues have a clean bill of health (unless otherwise stated), are spayed/neutered, vaccinated (age-appropriately), tested (FeLV/FIV for cats, HW for dogs over 6 months of age), current on flea and heartworm prevention and microchipped. Story
Buble is a 2yr old aussie mix of some sort. He weighed in at 32lbs full grown with a lean stature at last vet appt. Great with other dogs and confident cats (he wants to play and bark at them if they run). Buble would do best in a home with a confident dog to play and snuggle with. Great with people but can be protective of his person and home so needs a family that can show him it's safe and he doesn't have to worry when someone new comes over. He's decent on a leash but does pull a little bit and knows some commands. Loretta

American Pit Bull Terrier

Female, 4 yrs 4 mos
Lutz, FL
Size
(when grown) Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
Details
Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Loretta is a 3-year-old staffy mix looking for her forever home. Her playgroup style at the shelter was described as gentle/dainty, and her foster believes she would do best with submissive dogs. She does love to play and absolutely loves to cuddle with her foster parents She does have skin issues, which is common in bully breeds. She will likely need to be on oral allergy medicine for life. She aims to please and knows tricks like "sit" and "kisses." Due to Loretta's size, we do not recommend a home with small children. She has not been tested with cats, but her foster family believes she would do best in a home with no cats. She is crate-trained and house-trained, and her foster family is able to leave her in their guest room and she isn't destructive. Story
Kima is thriving in foster care! This 2-year-old, 8-lb pup is spayed, UTD on vetting, and loves attention. She enjoys playing with her foster's small dogs and thrives with canine companionship. While she’s mostly good with cats, she may chase if they run. Kima is still fearful of the leash and working on potty training. Having spent her life in a pen with 35 dogs, she’s now discovering the joys of indoor living—chewing included! She needs a patient home, ideally with another small dog, and someone who appreciates her happy, puppy-like energy.
