My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, I’m Penelope. YRecently I ended up on a stranger’s front door step very frail, weak and severely malnourished. When he opened the door I got scared and tried to run but just couldn’t make it. Since then I have been loved, cared for and brought back to health. I’ve even gotten my girlish figure back. I have adjusted well! I’m house trained, crate trained and leash trained. I’m more than just a pretty face – I’m also a quick learner.

I’m doing great inside the house, get along with other dogs and enjoy a belly rub. I also love giving sweet puppy kisses and like walks.

Life was a rough start but despite having been homeless, my sweet and playful personality still shines through.

Things are great now but I know they will be even better when I find my forever home. I’d love to be a part of the right family. Come meet me!


I am updated on shots, spayed, dewormed, microchipped, and heartworm tested. The adoption fee is $125.

*Dogs are available the 2nd Saturday of every month from 11am-3pm.

Petsmart #1780, 1907 Taylor St; 77007 (Heights-IH10/Taylor)
*Dogs are available the 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month from 11am-3pm.
