Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Great dog needs great home ASAP
An awesome Border CollieSpringer
Spaniel mix
named Sam has only ONE WEEK to find a home
or rescue. Please SHARE with anyone who might
be able to prevent him from going to a shelter and
being euthanized. He says a big THANK YOU to
anyone who tries to help! : D
I rescued Sam a few months ago from Northern
Nevada, rehabilitated him over the summer, and
now need to find a permanent home for him. He
was struggling with resource guarding and
anxietybased
aggression when I picked him up
from the shelter, where he had been brought in with one ear infection and another ruptured
eardrum. After healing his ears, I enrolled him in a mindset modification program in Los Angeles
with internationally acclaimed Sean O'Shea of The Good Dog Training & Rehabilitation
(www.thegooddog.net). Sam made REMARKABLE PROGRESS and is now an ecollar
trained
success story! His new owner will get a free training session with Sean.
Sam needs an owner who:
wants
an intelligent, athletic, loyal companion
has
firm energy and isn't afraid of being assertive
is
willing and able to provide consistency and structure
is
dog savvy & knows how to use/can learn the ECOLLAR
understands
that the border collie in him craves/requires
intellectual stimulation
can
provide daily physical exercise (onleash
for now but he could
work up to offleash
while wearing his ecollar)
can
also provide REGULAR PRACTICE of the training activities
Sean taught him so that he doesn't regress into old habits
lives
in a calm setting (without kids under 15 yrs old... with other
balanced/behaved dogs would be a plus)
I'd love to keep Sam if my lifestyle wasn't so hectic. He is a smart sweetheart who LOVES
playing with his ball in the yard and just needs proper human leadership. He will thrive in the
right environment! If you could please pass this information along ASAP to anyone you know
who might be interested, that'd be terrifically helpful and much appreciated. Email me, Katie,
at katierome@gmail.com for more info. Thank you and have a great day! Katie
& Sam : )
