Hannah - female/spayed - Beagle/Rottie mix best guess - young (3-4 years of age) - 50 pounds - black and tan short coat
Hannah is one of those very special dogs whom we often call "Nanna- dogs" - you can easily imagine her bustling about in a nurse's apron and cap, wondering "whatever would they do without me?"
Sturdy and compact, Hannah also has what we lovingly refer to as a most huggable torso. As she delights in all forms of petting and loving, she would definitely agree. Her eye contact is direct, soft
and open - and expresses not only her complete attention, but conveys her immediate willingness to be of purpose and use.
In addition to being a most cooperative, responsive, and helpful dog - Hannah is also well trained in the basic commands "sit" and "come"; she is fully house trained, and brilliant at catch, which is one of her favorite recreational outlets. As Hannah is so eager and willing to be of purpose, we suspect she could learn anything.
Hannah is playful and energetic without being presumptuous; too well- mannered ever to jump up on anyone, she nonetheless resonates with her desire to be included in any outing, game, or the smallest of tasks - she is grateful for attention, and returns all overtures with affection and absolute admiration and love. She delights in being cuddled.
Hannah's presence in rescue is a bewilderment to everyone, and we can only imagine that she may have once been a treasured family member in a household that either broke apart or found itself without resources. Hannah was terribly thin when she came into foster care, but still filled with love, hope and optimism, and a touching faith in people.
Hannah is a kind, trusting, and honest dog, and she will reward her adopters with the fullest measure of a very great heart.
