Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Willy is a super smart and very playful young boy who still loves to have rambunctious fun. He adores toys of all kinds and thinks it’s great when his people will play with him. He looks a bit like a Westie/Schnauzer mix.
He can be a little uncertain of new people at first, but then does great when anyone starts to play with him and he does bond to new friends quickly. Willy is looking for a new family that has people who are just as smart as he is (and that is really smart!) and have the doggie experience to help guide him as he learns grown-up manners (like not enthusiastically jumping on people when he’s feeling full of joy).
He is very alert and attentive to people and will already do things like sit on command for a treat. This guy will be a dream dog with the right owner! He should be wonderfully responsive to training.
Willy can be a little dominant with the other dogs but then he’s the new kid at the shelter and still figuring out where he belongs. He might just be used to being in a single dog household and might be happier that way but it’s still too early to tell yet.
Willy can be a bit uncertain about new things in his life and, not knowing what to do about the brand new baby in his prior home, he growled at it while he was trying to figure out that strange critter and his family didn’t have the patience to work with him on accepting the new addition. He will probably be best in a new home without little kids since he has not had experience with them before.
Willy really is a delightful boy and will be fabulous with a family that will take him for nice walks, play with him, and teach him all the great stuff that a growing boy needs to know. He is a petite 17#.
