My story

Smokey loves to pounce and play. This handsome guy has a smooth coat and sweet eyes. He gets along with dogs & kids. He's been vaccinated, microchipped & neutered.

Nala, the momma, was found wandering the Homestead Air Reserve Base. Her rescuer decided to foster her and found out not only was she Heartworm positive, but very pregnant! The litter was born May 18th, 2013 and they were too much for sweet Nala so they were bottle fed. The rest of the litter was adopted and SMOKEY is the last one to find a home. ADOPTION PROCESS:

1. Email adopt@thisisthedog.com for an application. We will reply with application attached so you might have to check your spam folder. Complete Adoption Application and return to us at adopt@thisisthedog.com or fax to 305-247-9127

2. Meet with the dog. Bring treats if you would like.

3. Complete Adoption Contract

4. Adoption Donation is $150. Adoption donation includes Spay/Neuter, Up to Date Vaccines, Microchip, Deworming, and Heartworm Check if needed.

5. Thank you! This is the Dog! does not have a shelter. Our dogs are in boarding and in foster homes primarily in Homestead, FL. We are a small group of volunteers. It is worth the drive South from Miami or North from the Keys to find your canine companion. This Is The Dog! for you!
