My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Dixie - baby (8 weeks as of age ) - female - Lab/Hound mix best guess - 5 pounds - red with white feet - short, plush coat

Dixie's eyes may have a soulful expression, but inside Dixie beats the heart of rock and roll. She is a champion snuggler, and a glorious licker - and best of all, she is both fearless and kind.

Dixie reckons the world is her oyster, and she greets all people, animals, things, and experiences directly, openly, joyfully, and with complete faith that her overtures will be reciprocated in kind.

Affectionately nick-named "Trouble" in her foster home, Dixie has earned this moniker for her tendency to take the most direct path to get places she needs to go - which has sometimes resulted in Dixie becoming stuck under low railing or in small openings.

Dixie and her litter mates, Champ and Dumpling, share a wonderful penchant for play, as well as expectant, and completely trusting natures. There is an endearing vulnerability and innocence in Dixie, because she is so little and so fearless at the same time.

The adoption fee for Dixie will cover her continuing booster vaccines, and her spay procedure when she is 6 months of age. We are not recommending placement in homes with very small children, and we will be requiring fenced yards for the pups.
