This boy is so awesome we don’t even know where to start. Roger is a 3 year old Lab / Plott Hound mix who lost his home when his family lost theirs. Fuzzy Pawz Rescue couldn’t let this smiling face go to a shelter so we place him into a foster home.
Roger is an absolute sweetheart and is smart to boot. He already knows the commands sit, stay, come, down, shake and high five is house trained, dog door trained and he is great off leash. Roger is not kennel trained but is a perfect gentleman when left alone in the house for the day. Roger walks fairly well on leash, does not dig, does not chew on things, rides great in the car; the sky is the limit with this boy
Smiley here loves people of all ages and is gentle enough that he should be fine with kids of all ages. Keep in mind that he does jump up when he gets over-excited.
Roger gets along great with other dogs and loves to fetch but needs more work on the command drop so sometime fetch becomes a game of keep away – but come on who doesn’t love a good game of keep away? Roger is also a big fan of water and loves to swim and has the paddle feet of a lab to do it very well. How he is with cats is unknown at this time.
Roger is a great family dog for any household, even as a first time dog.
Please note that Roger is a big boy at 85 pound he is about 10 - 15 lbs over weight but has been losing weight while in his foster home and will continue to do so with daily exercise.
