Well hello there! Aren't my pretty grey eyes so handsome?!? My name is Dewey (my brothers are Louie and Huey!) I am an independent,curious fellow that is a Poodle/Rat Terrier mix (nobody really knows!) My Mom is about ten pounds. I will probably be a little bigger than my Mom when I am full grown but not much bigger.
I just turned 9 weeks old on June 16th and I am officially looking for my furever family starting this week! My brothers, Mom and I were sooooooo incredibly lucky that a kind Detroit Police Officer called NBS Animal Rescue when my family could no longer care for us and wanted to give us up. She gave my mommy some yummy food, some fresh water, and a soft place to lay as she called the awesome people at NBS Animal Rescue to help her. Luckily, I have the best doggie Mom in the world! She kept me and my brothers very healthy and doted on our every need! I was already about one month old but I was so happy to find a wonderful foster family that could provide the care and vetting that I needed. My brothers, Mom and I have a great puppy suite where we stayed and now we are old enough to be out and about in our foster home!
We won't be ready to take the adventure to our new homes until we are neutered and have had two rounds of puppy vaccines and three rounds of de-wormings, as well as get our microchips but that is happening on June 19th!!!! We are working on our potty training and learning how to sit. We are also working on coming when being called. I am super smart! My foster Mom says that I am Mr. Independent. I am the littlest of the three and I am happy to go and explore new places on my own. I like my brothers but I don't need to be around them 24/7. I get so excited when people talk to me and my brothers. I love other dogs and kids who are gentle with me. Because I am a small guy and so young, I do require that any children are over the age of 5 that live in my new home and that someone is able to let me outside at least every four hours.

My adoption fee is $250.00 and includes 2 DHPP vaccines, bordatella vaccine, 3 De-wormings, spay/neuter surgery, heartworm preventative, flea/tick preventative, microchip insertion, bath, nail trim, ear cleaning, leash and collar and one week's worth of food.

We do require that persons interested in meeting me apply online and be approved as an adopter first so please visit our website and submit your application today! Our adoption process requires that any pet in your household be current on it's vaccinations and heartworm preventative as well as spayed/neutered unless there is a documented medical reason on file with your veterinarian. Dogs must be current on DHLPP, Rabies, and Heartworm Preventative, cats must be current on Distemper, Rabies, and Heartworm Preventative at the time of application. While I hope that you have fallen in love with me and will fill out an adoption application right away, I understand if I might not be the perfect pup for your family.
