Our wonderful Oklahoma rescuer has a soft spot for every dog she saves. She truly loves them and cares deeply about the paths their lives take. But..being human...some pups just touch her a bit more. They just shine...usually because of their exceptional temperaments and super-loving demeanor. Lorelei is definitely one of those dogs...she's special!! (she has one brown eye and one blue eye-very unusual for this breed mix.) These were Lorelei's foster's words regarding this lovely girl, "I can't describe how perfect she is...maybe it's the calm wisdom in her 6-month old puppy eyes. Or it could be her very gentle ways...always so careful not to be rough or overbearing. I'm not sure how she understands the world so well...so careful not to hurt children and to be respectful of other dogs. It's also her great house manners...we can't figure out how she knows just exactly what's expected of her. No accidents or disrespect for personal property ever!! She is a gift for any family!" We'd like to see Lorelei in a home with a person/couple who is present and willing to spend their time with this exceptional companion. She'd be a perfect friend for walking/hiking, car rides/vacations, dog parks and any social activities. There are never any worries about Lorelei's behavior...she's always so pleasant and agreeable. Lorelei is a very light...if at all... shedder. We believe she won't shed once she is bathed, brushed, in a stress-free home and on nutrition that will provide the nutrients for a healthy coat. Her hair is very soft with a scraggly face - she is not suggested for those with severe allergy concerns.
Lorelei will be arriving on transport in Denver on or around 6/29. Applications are currently being accepted for a loving family for this exceptional companion pup
