My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This is Duke, short for Marmaduke, a 1yr. old Mastiff/Anatolian Shepherd mix. He's neutered and up to date on his shots. He currently weighs 142lbs. He's good with other dogs, cats, and children. He's just a lover all the way around. I discourage toddlers to be around him simply because he's so big and is still in puppy-mode, however one of our dogs is a tiny chihuahua that he's very careful with and never harms. He was originally raised to be a seizure/assistance dog but hasn't completed anything outside of basic commands. The training is there it just needs refreshing. He's also very gentle when someone hands him food and can play fetch for hours. He loves to snuggle and wrestle. He absolutely loves water; bath time, the lake, river, it doesn't matter, he loves playing in it. He's excellent on a leash, rarely pulls. His hackles raise up anytime he gets excited which a lot of people think means he's getting aggressive when he's not. He has tons of energy and needs someone that will give him space to run and play. His previous owner Heidi Smith is a soon to be college student who has to surrender him because he wouldn't be allowed, nor would he fit, in a college apartment.
