Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lulu is an adorable spayed female who we believe is a Maltese and Silky Terrier blend. She was born in approximately August 2012. She was rescued from a junkyard in Mexico and, unfortunately, didn’t have much human contact during her first 6 months. Her luck changed, though, when a wonderful person decided to drive her 8 hours through Mexico to my home to give Lulu the best possible chance for finding that perfect home.
Lulu has an amazing personality. She enjoys playing with other dogs, tolerates cats (i.e., ignores them), and will bond with people after an initial "get to know you" period—at least at this point, she is a bit more comfortable around women than men and children. Because she’s food-oriented, she will usually bond with the person who feeds her. When she first arrived at my home, she wouldn’t come near me. After about two days, she came when called and learned to come inside the house. She also wasn’t housetrained at first, but now she can hold it all night long.
Lulu is very smart. She learned to sit on command just by watching the other dogs (and of course being rewarded with food). Lulu is spayed and has her rabies shot. The ideal home for Lulu would be one where there is another dog and where she can go outside and play. Her ideal companion is someone who will be patient with her, who understands that she may never be an outgoing dog, and someone who can spend time with her.
Lulu loves nothing more than going on walks, playing fetch, or just being next to you. She is extremely outgoing to her favorite people. And, she’s a great guard dog. Despite her pint-size (currently 15 pounds), Lulu will bark at any strangers or people coming near the house. If you’re looking for a great companion, one who wants to go on walks and play fetch and one who doesn’t shed, Lulu is the perfect dog for you.
