My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

1.5 year old Hutch loves attention and will follow you anywhere (just look at the video). He looks like a Border Terrier who is way too big, so our best guess is Giant Schnauzer/Lab mix. He knows sit, walks well on a leash and gets along with other dogs and children. If you like lots of large puppy hugs, Hutch is your dog!

The application/screening process for potential adopters usually takes about 24 hours except when it falls over a weekend or holiday, and then it may take two or three days. We ask that potential adopters please be patient with us; we are only trying our best to ensure that the homeless pets in our care get the best possible home. All cats and dogs adopted from our shelter are spayed or neutered (as Texas law mandates).

Our adoption fee is currently $70 for non-residents and $75 for residents*.

The adoption fee includes:

spaying/neutering
vaccinations (appropriate to species and age)
heartworm or feline leukemia test (appropriate to species and age)
de-worming medication
microchip (a tiny ID tag inserted under the skin, which allows your pet to be returned to you quickly)

There is a $5 Pet License fee added to the adoption fee if the adopter lives inside the City Limits of Georgetown.
