Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Diamond, a 9 week old lab mix who currently weighs 8 pounds. Diamond and her siblings were born in a deserted mine shaft in Kentucky. Someone saw them and called a local rescue group, whose volunteers crawled through mud and water to bring the pups out. The rescue group even got a picture of their mom, who looks like a yellow lab.
Diamond had mange, which was diagnosed and treated prior to coming to Adopt a Pet. This explains her rather bedraggled appearance. Her overall health is fine, and like her siblings she is eager for human attention and affection. Her foster mom tells us that Diamond is a sweet little girl who likes to snuggle and is well on her way to being house-trained.
Diamond is much smaller than her brothers, but we can't say for sure how big she will be when fully grown. So she needs to be adopted by someone willing to take pot-luck in terms of her breed and size. Since she's so young, Diamond needs a family where someone is home part or all day to finish her potty-training as well as keep her exercised and socialized.
Diamond's adoption fee of $335 includes: vet exam, DHAPP (distemper combo) vaccination, bordetella vaccination, flea & tick preventative, deworming, microchip and spay.
