This is DIXIE, a 1 to 3 year old retired mom Heeler/maybe Chihuahua mix looking for her forever home. Dixie is 15 lbs, house trained, crate trained, and likes other small dogs. She is very sweet and listens well but has typical Heeler behavior and needs a strong leader who will continue to train and socialize her to be the best companion she can be. She has come such a long way in her foster home and gets better every day. Because of the Heeler temperament (need to chase and herd), Dixie cannot be adopted to a home with children under the age of 12. She gets along with most dogs but does best with dogs her size.
