Here's what the humans have to say about me:
As soon as we saw Clyde in his 2'x4' cage in a rural shelter that had been his home for months, we knew we had to rescue him. Clyde is definitely not one to hold a grudge or be depressed about his situation....he trotted happily out of the shelter with tail wagging. After a serious bath and a shave to the skin of his gorgeous (yet very matted) brindle locks, Clyde felt like a new guy. He couldn't decide if he could wag his tail fast enough to express his joy at this new turn of events. He went home happily with his new foster mom to work on his house skills and to be generally adored and cared for. We very quickly found out that Clyde is housebroken, extremely loving of humans of all ages and enjoys playtime with other dogs. He would do best with an active family that will include him in their activities. Clyde had been inactive for too long at the shelter and therefore has added a few pounds. At about 3 years old and 26 lbs,..if he could get down to about 22 lbs, that would be ideal for him. We would hope for a family that would bring him along slowly and respect that to be in top shape takes a bit of time. Clyde is a non-shedding guy so periodic grooming will be required as his beautiful, cottony-soft coat grows in.
Clyde is being fostered in Boulder CO. Applications are currently being accepted for this exceptional companion.
