MEET PENELOPE. Oh what a precious puppy. Penelope is an adorable friendly dachshund-pomeranian mix, and at just 14 weeks old, she has all the wonderful happy puppy characteristics. Needs a fenced yard in which to play, and will love to go to puppy training classes. Great family dog. Owner loves her dearly, but is a full time student with no yard or time for the attention a little one needs. We want a wonderful forever home for this special girl.
Based on 30 years of experience with rescue doxies, we have pretty strict criteria. Do you work from home/stay at home/work part time? Have a securely fenced yard? We do not place same sex in a home and children need to be 10 or older (some exceptions IF the dog is a puppy or the child has been raised with a doxie). We prefer no smokers and a home with no other small animals (ferrets, hamsters, etc) Cats are on a case by case basis depending on the dog. Remember these are rescues, many were surrendered because of these issues. All our dogs are fully vetted, including all shots, wormer & flea protection, nails trimmed, the works. They'll come with a basket of goodies, food, toys and a custom made harness. The adoption fee is $395, no exceptions as this covers the cost to rescue them, vet them and take care of them while in our rescue. It also helps towards the care of other doxies that come with huge vet or dental bills or need extensive behavioral training. Can you give her a happy, carefree life that she deserves?
