Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Mickey is an adorable mixed breed boy. His DNA test shows that he is a mix of German Shorthaired Pointer, Rottweiler, Bull Terrier, and Dalmatian. He is an energetic dog that likes to swim, play fetch and happily retrieves the ball (his favorite sport), and he makes a great running partner. He enjoys riding in the car very much. He is good with other dogs and sometimes he tries to be a dominant male at play. Like most dogs, he enjoys a good chew type toy while relaxing with his people at night. He enjoys a good belly rub whenever he can get one. As for cats, he is very curious about them but he never gets too close to them since he is a bit over zealous when meeting them and the cats scamper off. He is very content when he gets a good exercise in since he is a very athletic breed.
Mickey is very reward oriented (treats) and is able to follow training quickly. He is crate trained and has never had an accident in the house. He is already neutered and is up-to-date on vaccinations. If you’re looking for an active dog to include in your daily activities, Mickey could be the right dog for you!
****His adoption fee is $195.****
The Animal Rescue Project (www.animalrescueproject.org) is committed to the best possible veterinary care for the pets it rescues—and it is looking for adopters who will be similarly committed.
All dogs and puppies are given a general check-up when they enter our program. They receive medication to remove any intestinal parasites (worms), fleas, and ticks they may have. Dogs greater than six months of age are checked for heartworm. If heartworm positive, the Animal Rescue Project treats the disease. Dogs and pups receive all age-appropriate vaccinations for distemper, and dogs greater than four months of age are also vaccinated for rabies, in compliance with State of Michigan laws.
Most dogs and older puppies are spayed or neutered before adoption. In the case of puppies not old enough to be safely sterilized, a $25 deposit is required at the time of adoption and is refunded to the adopter with proof of sterilization.
The Animal Rescue Project requires every adopter to establish an active relationship with a veterinarian no later than 10 days after adoption. Adopters will receive a plan for routine veterinary care at the time of adoption and are expected to work with their vet to complete the plan.
