Jaspar is a one-and-a-half-year-old King Charles Cavalier Spaniel/Corgi mix who is a very happy dog and who shows absolutely no sign of an aggressive temperament. He weighs 23 lbs. Jaspar gets along with all dogs, and loves playing with all sizes of dogs. He likes sitting on laps or next to people, and wants to be with people as much as he can. He likes stuffed toys but pulls out the stuffing, so canvas or rope toys may last longer. Jaspar walks well on a leash and does not pull; he needs to be given some direction because he likes to wander a bit. Jaspar also loves car rides. He is a smart dog who learned quickly to use the doggie door.
Jaspar lives in a foster home where there is one cat, and though he definitely shows interest, there is no aggression. Jaspar is crate-trained, and sleeps quietly in his crate throughout the night, though he has been so trustworthy that we began to keep the door of the crate open.
Jaspar’s ideal home would be a home with another dog to keep him company when folks are not at home; if not another dog in the home, a home where someone is home a good portion of the day. If Jaspar is to be an only dog, frequent “play dates” or dog park visits, or kids who come home after school to play with him would work best.
Jaspar is neutered, de-wormed, vaccinated including rabies, and micro-chipped. If you are interested in Jaspar, please contact Angel’s Heart Dog Rescue at: adopt@angelsheartdogrescue.com. The phone number to the rescue is: 626-340-9316. There is no need to phone the rescue until you have first submitted an interest via e-mail. Please visit my website at: http://www.angelsheartdogrescue.com and go to the Adoption Tab to read about the adoption process; thank you!
