Hi! My name is Duggy! Can you believe a handsome young guy like me doesn't have a place to call my own? My friends at MAIN rescued me over a year ago and they can't believe I haven't found my fur-ever yet! I was first rescued from the euthanasia list at the county pound because of medical issues. I had a swollen and painful leg and upon further exam, it was discovered I had Valley Fever and Tick Fever. Luckily, after some time healing in a wonderful foster home, I'm ready for adoption! My leg is all better and although I will still need to be on Valley Fever medications for awhile I am otherwise 100% happy and healthy!
Enough of all that boring stuff though- let's talk about fun things, like toys and doggy friends. I love all those things! I love to meet new people and other dogs and am always up for an adventure. I walk great on the leash, so we could take a walk or hike together! It's summer, let's go swimming together- I'm an excellent doggy paddler! Don't get me wrong, I AM a fun dog, but I prefer a slightly more mellow environment. I'm just not one of those crazy, hyper dogs- I know how to chill out! I have lived with several doggy foster siblings of all sizes and we get along great! My friends say to be sure to be sure to tell you that I'm real smart. I know how to use that thing called a doggy door and if there isn't one, I'll let you know when I need to go out to potty. I have already learned "sit," "stay" and am kennel trained. That's pretty good, even if I do say so myself! At the end of the day, I would love nothing more than to curl up next to you- I'm a very sweet, affectionate boy and love my humans. Truly, I want nothing more than to be part of a family!
Are you looking for a new best friend in your life? A playmate for your dog? A cuddle buddy? Pick me! I come highly qualified for the job! I am approximately one year old and my adoption fee is $150. I am neutered, microchipped, up to date on Bordetella, DHPP and Rabies AND come with my county license!
