My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Louise is a HUGE, delightful teddy bear!

She could be anything (and everything) from a Burmese Mountain Dog, Saint Bernard, Golden Retriever, and Newfoundland blend. She probably has some Mastiff in her, too.

She is a stunning girl with an extremely unusual orange/ red/ golden and black coat. Her coat is wavy and soft, but it does not seem to shed much at all.

Louise is the most gentle giant I have ever met – she is SO tolerant and never, ever, never would think of hurting anyone –ever! She is just a big, goofy baby who wants to sleep in the bedroom – and even on the bed! She is gentle as a lamb with kids and as mellow as mellow can be! But she is also a lot of fun and loves to run around and get her exercise --she's just a funny goof-ball!

She is, of course, spayed and has had all of her shots.

Louise, though, has hip dysplasia, which is very unusual in a mixed-breed dog. She favors her left hind leg, but it sure doesn’t stop her from running up and down hills and frolicking with my other foster doggies! She is otherwise a perfectly healthy, hearty, normal girl.

I have all of her vet records and my vet recommends hydrotherapy (swimming!) as the very best treatment for Louise -- she doesn't need an operation or anything- - she just needs good exercise, water therapy, and a good diet.
