Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Birthdate: 9/26/12
Gender: Male
Breed: Husky/Doberman mix
Siblings: Pocahontas, Meeko, Flit, John Smith
It’s a brave new world for these little pups as they explore all that they can. Every sight.. every smell.. every new person is a new experience, and theyre taking it al in as their tails wag a hundred miles an hour with excitement.
Pocahontas and her brothers were left at the dog pound by their mother’s owner when they were just six weeks old. Alone and scared, they were lucky that one of the deputies immediately called New Lease on Life for help, and they immediately came to the shelter where they would be safe and loved until they could find wonderful new families.
And boy have they been loved! All of our junior volunteers instantly fell in love with these little pups with their cute faces and darling personalities. They’ve been held and cuddled almost nonstop. They’ve even gotten to play with the other dogs and cats.
But now it’s time for them to move on to new homes.
We believe the pups are Husky/Doberman mixes. Based on their currently size and breed, we’re expecting them to be around 60 pounds as adults, so potential adopters should plan on a large dog when they’re all grown up.
The pups have not yet started on housebreaking, but they’re still tiny babies, so they’ll figure it out in no time at their new homes. Just expect some accidents in the beginning as they get the hang of it. We recommend crate training as the quickest, easiest way to housebreak a new pup, and we’ll be happy to give you some pointers.
You can meet Meeko during adoption hours at the shelter, Thursday through Sunday 5 to 8pm, or call 330-397-8270 to schedule an appt at another time or on another day. He has already been neutered, vaccinated, dewormed and flea treated, so he’s ready to join your family right away!
