My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Coltrane; I am a male treeing walker hound & lab mix…. or at least I think my dad was a lab. I will be approximately 1 year old in late February (2013). I am UTD on vaccines and neutered. I get along with other dogs if there are just a few of us; they just need to remember I am the boss!
I have not been around children and I tolerate cats. I am really a great guy to hang out with; I have a lot of energy enjoy playing fetch a lot to run off some of my energy. I am not too sure about going for rides but am working on my issues. I am not a huge barker but I do bark at the horses when they get to close to my yard and will not tolerate their sassy talk.
Need someone to let you know when you have visitors? I will immediately come and physically get you when someone comes to the door. I am crate trained and working on leash training. I know basic commands such as sit, stay, come, off, and whisper. My foster family is teaching me to wear a backpack and to share my toys. I love playing tug of war with my brothers but I am competitive and prefer to win. I love peanut butter cookies and a real protein dry food. I will be a true friend for a special someone.
