Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Something or someone has traumatized this dog. She is only suppose to be about 7-8 months old but has made just a little progress in her foster home. With that in mind we hope she'll continue to improve with love and time. She was surrendered to our local shelter since the family said they couldn't do anything with her. The shelter only increased her fears.
She will actually crawl on her belly to me now but as far as coming in the door on her own...not so good. She's likes to be petted but is still reserved. Loud noise scare her but she stays in the kitchen and is getting used to the sounds of the dishwasher, washer and dryer and handling those very well.
If you have experience with very scared little ones and would like to help foster Nola could really use your help. She's currently in a foster home with quite a few other pets. She does love other dogs and they seem to help her feel more secure. She only weighs about 15 pounds and is current on her vaccines. She has not been spayed yet but will be spayed before going home.
My adoption fee is $100.
Save 1 Pet is a 501 (c) 3 approved charity committed to helping homeless animals. We don't have a facility (shelter) but work out of our homes to foster the animals until they find a forever home.
If you are interested in adopting, we encourage you to fill out our adoption questionnaire: Save1Pet Adoption Questionnaire
Please be advised that for all adoptions, we will conduct reference checks, including veterinary references. Our adoption fee for dogs is $95-$200 which includes spay/neuter, heart worm check, current vaccines, worming and heart worm/flea/tick prevention.
For dog adoptions, we do conduct fence verifications.
When adopting an animal, you will be asked to complete our Adoption Contract.
