My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ototo, which means "little brother" came to us when A Puppys Voice Rescue picked him up at a high kill shelter in New Mexico. He is 9-10 months old, weighs 30 pounds, and we believe he is a Shiba Inu/Basenji mix, possibly with a dash of German Shepherd Dog.

Ototo is a happy lively boy who would love a fun active family that can keep up with his energy. He is good with everyone, men, women and
kids though he may knock a little one down, but not intentionally. He is good with other dogs, very playful and he is ok with cats, he thinks they want to play too, especially if they run, but he means no harm.

Ototo is good with crate training and will go right in for his meal. He may cry in the crate the first night or two but after that he seems to settle right in. He is also potty trained and has a doggie door in his foster home but we don't recommend leaving him loose if no one is home as he may become destructive at his younger age.

Ototo would love a home with a yard to play in. While he may be quiet enough for an apartment he would need a very active person to tire him out and keep him stimulated. If he has a yard he needs 6 foot fencing. While he was fostered briefly in a home with 4 foot fencing and never escaped, he can clear a baby gate with grace and ease so we just don't want to take any chances that he may learn to get over shorter outdoor fencing.

Ototo's adoption fee is $350.00 which includes his neuter, distemper and rabies vaccination, microchip, deworming and a 6 week professional training course.
