My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Gracie: 4 yr old tri color female, spayed, docked tail and uncropped ears. 13", 8 lb. Fully vetted. Rescued from shelter.
Gracie is such a sweetheart! She is so polite and is VERY smart!
Training:
- Since I have had her (almost two weeks) she has only barked ONCE- when she was startled. When people come to the door and knock, she appears alert but doesn't bark. This is GREAT for apartment or condo living.
- She is doing very well with housebreaking, she knows to hold it, and when I take her out she goes pretty quickly. She is starting to know her name and responds to "Come" and "No". She does not like to be in a crate, she will dig and cry to try to get out. I have her gated in the downstairs of my home and she has done very well with that. She doesn't get into anything while I am gone and appears to be lounging around relaxing in the sun when I get home. She loves to sit with you and follows me from room to room. She is fast! I wouldn't trust her off a leash at this time. She is happy to lounge on the couch most of the day with people... she isn't bouncing off the walls with energy.
Temperament:
Gracie isn't a big lap sitter, she just likes to sit next to you with her head on your leg. She is nervous with strangers at first... she likes to go up and smell them but you can tell she is a little tentative with them. Once you get to know her, she is so loyal and loving. She doesnt mind being picked up or held once she gets to know you. She seems to build trust fairly quickly but would do better with a quieter home where someone will give her a little time to open up.
Appearance:
Gracie is so cute... as you can tell from the pictures. Everyone stops us at the park and compliments her! She walks with this cute little gait and her coloring is really unique. I have done some research and am pretty sure she is a cross between a Toy Fox Terrier with either some min pin / italian greyhound in her.
