Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This handsome young guy, is Remy. Remy is about 5 months old and an absolute doll! His breed mix is a bit of a mystery- but the best guess by the vet is: Border Collie, Airedale or Wirehair pointer, and probably standard poodle (his 2 brothers look more like standard poodle mixes). Whatever the combo may be, we just know he is darn cute!!
Eager to please? Yep. Fun and energetic? He sure is. Sweet, good natured and mellow? Check! Great with kids, other dogs, and house trained? Yes, he is! Wow- he's just about perfect. Except that Remy is looking for his forever family. He and his brothers were found in the woods- starving, lonely, fleas and ticks all over- apparently dumped there when they were just about 4 months old. They were rescued by a nice man who brought them to a foster family. Remy and his brothers were taken to the vet, gotten all cleaned up, yummy food in their bellies and are doing fantastic now.
The foster family has a 2 year old child that Remy loves to play with- he sits calmly while she hugs him, gives him snacks and helps him play with his toys. There are also 2 very big male dogs in the foster house that Remy loves to play with and generally just be their little brother (or shadow!).
Remy would love a family that had time to play with him and teach him some tricks, as he is very smart and eager to please his family. He definitely prefers to live in the house with everyone else, but loves to run in a fenced yard with other dogs or his family. Remy hasn't been around cats, so he isn't sure yet if he likes them, but he's young enough to be trained to be respectful!
Remy can be quite playful and fun, but also very mellow and relax with a chew bone on a comfy dog bed. He just melts into your lap when he's being loved on someone is petting him!
Remy's 2 brothers just got adopted and now Remy is hoping it will be his turn soon to find his forever family. He is a real charmer and will grow up to be an amazing dog. All he needs is a loving home! Is it yours?!
Few more details: He's approximately 25lbs right now and about 18-19" from floor to top of his shoulder when he's standing (tough to measure a puppy who thinks the measuring tape might be a toy!). He's about 5 months old, and will have all his shots and neutering completed within the next week (shhh...don't tell him about the big 'appointment'!) :) He doesn't shed much at all (may be the poodle) and his hair is both soft and fine and some it is also long and wiry. Did we mention his is a doll?!
