Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This is wonderful, happy GIBBS!!
Unfortunately, due to a chronic medical conflict, the current owners of GIBBS must find him a new home.
GIBBS is male mix Shiba Inu and Golden Retriever mix. This has been our best guess.
The Shiba part is apparent by his face/muzzle and at times his tail will curl up hallmark of the breed.
GIBBS is very loving, a cuddler and pays close attention to your cues. He really aims to please, traits of the golden and when you see him you will agree 100%.
GIBBS is patient and tolerant of dogs of all sizes. Example of his patience; a toy Brussels stole his chew bone right out from under him and ran off- GIBBS just followed her, laid there and waited until she was done with it. When she walked away he just took it back..... sooooo cute to watch!!
Unsure of his relationship with the kitties, most likely would not be a problem.
GIBBS will sit and watch TV. He loves to be very close to the family member he adopts. He walks well on a lead and will heel on the first or second command. It doesn’t take more than twice. GIBBS responds to sit, stay, speak and down on the first command when you have a treat.
When it is bedtime, GIBBS will be at bedside, would like the big bed but he does respect the no rule.
GIBBS is approximately 2 ½ years old, weighs in at 32lbs, is housebroken, UTD on vaccines and is scheduled for his neuter on September 7th 2012.
The current owner will transport for surgical and be financially responsible for neutering.
A $100.00 adoption fee is requested to be donated to Kathi’s K9’s, in Weeki Wachee.
