Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Yawn. Oh, pardon me, I was just catching up a little on my beauty sleep. You are interested in knowing a little about me? I'm Marni, and I'm about five years old. I'm told I'm a perfect combination of retriever and Newfoundland. Sounds about right to me. My photos really don't show my true coat because I had to be shaved down. I'm a little self conscious about my current hair cut but this will grow out and I'll soon have my lush longer coat again. You can still see my gorgeous face, though. People always comment on what beautiful eyes I have. I'm a friendly, snuggly, happy dog who makes a habit of getting along with everyone I meet. I'm fine with dogs of all shapes and sizes. I really can't say that I've met any cats but they sound intriguing. I'm really very calm and easy going. I know you are being too polite to bring this up so I'll do so myself: I'm currently enduring something called a diet. That's the polite version of what I call this enforced brutality. I am a gourmand. I firmly believe in sampling a little of everything and then going back for seconds or thirds of the most delectable items. Come to think of it, I don't remember turning down any food. I'd thought the rule was never to bring up a lady's weight but for some reason, people I trust and love have thought it acceptable to point out that there's a little too much of me to love. Health, shmealth. I'm losing weight steadily but have a little more to go. Want to help? Let's go for long walks and afterward we can share a gallon of ice cream, er, a few carrots. I'm a sweet, adorable, cuddly girl with a heart of gold. I promise I'll melt you with just a glance!
